The Carbon Mission
A downloadable project
This is a project designed for the Wakefield College 2025 Game jam.
"What is this project?"
With the theme Sustainability covering the importance of bringing people closer to nature, and how important it is to look after your carbon footprint to then work on carbon offset, The Carbon Mission powers through as a mix between narrative and simulation genres , harbouring both 3D and 2D elements. Even though currently this is in the production stage with the only thing being submitted are the Game design document with concept art and asset packs for the games 3D aspects, this also has potential for actual game creation and game play in far future development. Further information can be found on the game design document.
"How does your project tie into the theme of Sustainability?"
The Carbon Mission is designed with the theme in mind, showcasing it through both subtle and major hints towards acting on carbon offset. From choice of player riding bikes instead of cars to even running a shop designed to push a polluted cities dedication to lower the Co2 levels and increase the importance of nature in your life.
"Why should I vote for this project?"
Hopefully , our work manages to catch your attention as this project has much bigger dreams with the adequate amount of support , such as:
If this project manages to win the game jam then it will further go into official development and then further publishment to Itch.io for actual playthrough.
If this project then receives even more support it will be worked on to further develop it and work on creating a bigger variety of game mechanics and aspects.
