Psychade-elic is a trippy puzzle and minigame like experience filled with classic arcade experiences. Beat games, earn point, gain more weed and let the magic work.
Foreword
This is currently a rough demo of the game. This means there are bound to be multiple bugs that will be fixed in the future, and multiple more updates till it will be counted as a solid game. Additionally Assets, Locations, Names, and Art can and will most likely be changed / updated with every fix or update However it will keep its initial gameplay loop.
Description
''You don't know what happened, but you do know is now you're stuck in this old, run down arcade with no way out. The man at the kiosk isn't a face you remember, but you do know he is in charge of this place and unless you complete all of his games he doesn't plan on letting you out. Beat them one by one as nostalgia hits you from games such as Frogger and Break Out and try not to lose your mind before you can escape this Psycade-elic hell.''

WHAT DID WE MISS / WANT TO ADD?
Hi, SillyJimTheWizard (Liam) here, as the Lead programmer I was mostly in charge of what actually got put into the game. So, anything missed is mostly my fault.
Firstly, we originally planned for the game to be a "weirdmageddon", after certain events (getting to a certain amount of tokens, or completing a specific game) something in the arcade would change. JayPeg may become 2D, the walls may melt.
As with most of these We did not have enough time. We thought we had 6 weeks, turns out we only had 4.
We also had a trailer planned, it would depict our made up drink (liquid jade) having a commercial before switching to the main character in an arcade. I got to the point where the can was made, but ran out of time to continue It will be included in the Unused Asset Pack folder.
Additionally, more games were planned. Based on Paperboy and Pacman. Obviously with our drug themed twists.
Finally, we would've liked to have added more of a tutorial to the game, as for a starting player who didn't read our wonderful description, its like putting a rat in a desert.
Alex otherwise known as Idkwhattotypehere, being the sub artist and designer wanted to have other machines be interactable, such as the claw machine and basketball machine.
He also wanted to make the intro a bit more dynamic, starting off outside the arcade and walking in.
Irina otherwise known as Shroomy, the Lead Artist and designer, wanted to add a quite a few things, I'm going to be lazy and copy and paste what she said.
--> Different versions of the hub showing the progression into psychedelic with every game, starting basic and getting more crazy.
--> The staff room be a feature.
--> Jaypeg turning into a Jpg image.
--> Arcade machines that are interactable.
--> Special features that hint on the players insanity, such as a bricked up door with the words rehab centre on it.
--> More design/ or redesign on the UI.
--> More UV variation on the unusable arcade machines.
--> Redesign on some assets such as the shelf behind the counter, and more assets to put on the shelves.
--> More signs and posters to fill in the empty walls.
MrBlueSky, or Mark, the sub programmer and designer ,wanted to do mostly what I wanted, but he also wanted to make his own background audio.

This project will most likely be continued in our own time, being fixed and updated over time.
